Learning an accent isn't about trying to change every sound you make.
It's about understanding which features actually create the accent, learning how to produce them, and then making them feel natural in your own voice.
These live, highly focused group masterclasses are designed to do exactly that. They will lay a fantastic foundation of the accent, and you’ll finish the 3 hours knowing exactly what needs to change and how to change it. It will be jam-packed with practical exercises and information, and at the end of the 2.5 hour masterclass, you’re invited to stay for an extra 30 min Accent Clinic Q&A to ask specific questions and chat.
Each masterclass concentrates on one specific accent and one specific audience, so we're able to work directly with the challenges you're likely to encounter rather than spending time on pronunciation that isn't relevant to you.
The September masterclasses are scheduled, and I’ll be announcing October’s sessions towards the end of September, November’s at the end of October etc.

These Masterclasses are specific. Why? The target accent isn’t the only thing that matters.
What an actor from London needs to do in order to sound American for a character is COMPLETELY different from what a software engineer from Spain needs to do to sound American at work.
Changing your accent when you’re performing a role is not the same as changing it in your daily life. So if you’re an actor, be sure to select an actor workshop!

For native English-speaking actors from the who don’t naturally speak with a General American accent. If you are from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia, and want to nail your General American accent, this is for you. We’ll look at the muscular placement and how to get your mouth into an American position, key tricky sounds and sound combinations, (particularly R, which is a challenge if you speak with an accent that normally doesn’t pronounce all R’s) rhythm, intonation, and we’ll talk about typical issues people have when performing in this accent.
